7 Valentine’s Day Dates for Book Lovers
    1. Take a literary field trip in your city! For example, Beverly Cleary is from Portland, OR so you can take a trip to the Beverly Cleary Sculpture Garden where you can check out life-sized statues of Ramona Quimby, Henry Huggins and Henry’s dog, Ribsy. Check out famous authors from your state here!
    2. Start reading (or re-reading) a book followed by watching the movie adaptation. Jane Austen, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, the possibilities are endless!

    3. Make your own bookmarks. Include the kids on this one! There are tons of fun, simple bookmark ideas on Pinterest. Learn how to make cute origami corner bookmarks or easy paint swatch bookmarks shown below!

    4. Organize your books. This one may not be as fun for some, but you and your partner can re-organize your bookshelf (books I want to read, favorite non-fiction, favorite fiction, alphabetical, whatever you’d like). Donate or sell the rest at your local used bookstore.

    5. Be the recipient of a new Storiarts I Carry Your Heart Book Scarf, Lightweight Scarf, or Writing GlovesThere are no hard feelings that your partner may not be the next E.E. Cummings but these gifts are a close second. What’s better than spreading love and literature?!

    6. Attend a book signing. Check out your local bookstore or library to see if there are any upcoming authors visiting your town and make a date out of it! We’re lucky to be near Powell’s, the world largest independent bookstore.
    7. Read. When you run out of options, hit the bookstore, library, coffee shop, or comfy couch and simply enjoy reading next to your partner. Sounds like any regular night to us!
