Feels more like a napkin than a blanket
"I am so disappointed in the poor quality of this blanket! It is my third blanket from Storiarts. The first (The Night Circus) was purchased in 2021, and it was exactly what I would expect from a blanket at this price point in terms of quality, softness, and thickness. The second (Tell-Tale Heart) was purchased in May of 2024, and it is much thinner. Still, it is soft, and I consider it functional in warmer weather, or as an extra layer on top of my comforter. I had expected this third blanket to be at least on par with the quality of the one I purchased in May, but I have to agree with another reviewer and say that this is purely decorative. It is paper-thin, and the fleece is rougher than my other two blankets. I like the illustration and text, which is why I am giving it two stars vs. one. I was also disappointed to receive the blanket in a plastic postage bag, without any additional protection (such as maybe a bag within a bag, at least)-- good thing it wasn't raining when delivered. I remember when Storiarts shipments were special. They would come with decorative little touches that suggested care was taken in preparing the product for shipment. I've kept some of these from previous purchases--for example, a Storiarts cardstock "bookmark" with their logo and a note that the product was "Locally made in Portland, Oregon," and that "Every Storiarts purchase helps children worldwide learn to read, write, and create." I even received a free sticker or two. Nothing whatsoever came in this package. Not even a piece of paper with shipping/order information. All this to say, after years of being a Storiarts customer--there was a time when I owned almost every product they made!--I think that this was my last purchase."
