8 New Year’s Resolutions for Book Nerds
Celebrate the new year with Storiarts. Check out our list of 8 New Year's resolutions for book nerds below!
  1. Thou shalt give the gift of reading! Books and bookish products make thoughtful gifts, and like our friend J.K. Rowling says, “If you don’t like to read, you haven’t found the right book.”
  2. Thou shalt not buy any more books until you finish your unread stash. We're guilty and we know you are too.
  3. Thou shalt read more classic novels that everyone’s read but you. Jane Austen, Anne of Green Gables, Alice in Wonderland and more! And if you haven't read them in awhile, maybe now's a good time to revisit.

  4. Thou shalt join (or start) a book club! You can find local book clubs on Meetup here or keep up with Reese Witherspoon’s book club here.

  5. Thou shalt finally finish the book you started 3 times and never finished. We all have one or two on our shelf!

  6. Thou shalt enter a poetry or writing contest. Exercise those writing skills by entering a contest for fun! (P.S. We are launching our own poetry contest in early 2018 - stay tuned!)

  7. Thou shalt pay all overdue fines at the library. We know you wouldn’t have any overdue fines, but if you do, now’s the time to pay them off!

  8. Thou shalt read a book from the Little Free Library. You may have seen these around your neighborhood, but have you actually tried to ‘take a book, leave a book’? Note - you can also purchase a Little Free Library one for your own home!
